Of prime importance, the offset edge allows the panel battens to fully engage the top and bottom trim, thereby creating an acoustically tight enclosure. The offset edge and panel batten design forms a smooth face for mounting doors, silencers, and other accessories. Strength is another feature. The 16 ga “H” batten connectors are the strongest offered for permanent enclosures, as are the 16 gauge panel diaphragms.
